The New American bible that I have does not include versus 19-23 for chapter 11 of Jeremiah. Why?
Answer:
In some books in the Old Testament there is debate about the original arrangement of certain chapters and verses. It is generally believed that over time some verses and chapters had been moved around.
In Bibles where Jeremiah 11:19-23 is not present, it can be found in Jeremiah 12 after verse 6.
