Fr. Charles R. Grondin was born and raised in Rhode Island. In 1995 he entered Our Lady of Providence Seminary and attended Providence College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work. He continued his seminary studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary in South Orange, New Jersey and was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Robert Mulvee on June 28, 2003 in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul in Providence, RI.
Father Grondin’s first assignment was at St. Matthew Parish in Cranston, RI where he served as assistant pastor until 2007 when he was then appointed assistant pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in East Greenwich, RI. In 2012, he was appointed pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Providence, RI.
