Question:
If He knew pain that would result, why create humans?
Answer:
Why do anything unless it is perfectly comfortable and easy? Sometimes pain and suffering is necessary to achieve a greater good (e.g. exercise, hard work to build something needed, etc.). Sometimes pain and suffering is because of our own mistakes and choices. Either way, the pain and suffering does not negate the goodness of existing.
If God had stopped the world after the first humans sinned then none of us would be here now or in heaven. None of the sufferings of this world are greater than God’s love for us (Rom. 8:35-39). God can bring good out of any situation (Rom. 8:28).
