What Ministries Can An Ex-Protestant Minister Do?

Question:

I’m a revert and an ex-pastor. I am also married. How can I continue in some sort of full time ministry?

Answer:

You could look into the diaconate program in your diocese. Some dioceses have lay pastoral assistant programs that would involve non-sacramental ministry. Some parishes hire a full time youth minister and some hire someone to be a director of liturgical ministries. You can also speak to your parish priest regarding what ministry in the parish he feels is missing or needs help and help him fill that hole.
