The Morality of Internet Ad Blockers

It depends on the circumstances. In most instances, using an ad blocker is little different than fast-forwarding through the commercials on a recorded program. It’s a possibility that the creator of the content foresees but has accepted and has made no active attempt to thwart (even if reluctantly).

Some websites state explicitly that using an ad blocker violates the terms and conditions of the website. In such instances it would be wrong to use an ad blocker, since the creators of content have some right to control how their content is disseminated.
