The Meaning of Mark 14:25

“Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink again the fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

The meaning of this statement by Jesus is pretty straightforward. Jesus is telling the disciples that his earthly mission has come to an end. The Last Supper (and the Mass) is a foretaste of the coming messianic feast in the kingdom of God (Is. 25:6).
