Right or Left Foot Does Not Matter

I have no idea why someone would claim it matters which foot is over which on a crucifix. Artists through the centuries have crafted crucifixes with the feet right over left, left over right, and side by side. Perhaps the idea that it is bad comes from local folklore and superstition, but the Church has no official stance on how Jesus’ feet should be positioned on a crucifix.
