Male Reproduction and Chemotherapy

Question:

What does the Catholic Church teach about freezing a male’s sperm prior to starting chemotherapy?

Answer:

The Church teaches that all conception of human life outside of the marital act is an immoral action (Donum Vitae). In what you are describing, once the sperm is removed and frozen then you are faced with the problem that there is currently no Church approved procedure of using it to conceive a child.
