Question:
How to show or demonstrate that a feeling is not a fact?
Answer:
The most obvious way to do so is to use optical illusions. Virtual Reality headsets can give you the “feeling” of flying or being on a roller coaster but your feet are firmly on the ground. The same effect can be achieve in movie theaters with super large screens that are very close to the audience. These illusions make our bodies “feel” similar to when we are moving as shown and yet we are not moving.
And when I use “feeling” I mean both physically and emotionally. Individuals can experience all sorts of anxiety, nauseousness, fear, etc. all while sitting perfectly still. Clearly these “feelings” are not the actual facts.
