Gay Saints?

Question:

Can a gay person be named a saint if they live a chaste life? If not, why?

Answer:

Yes, of course. We are all called to chastity (Catechism 2337-2345). Chastity, of course, is but one part of the Christian life. Anyone—whether heterosexual or homosexual— who lives a chaste life and one of heroic virtue in faith, hope, and love can be declared a saint.
