Does a Catholic Have to Pray to Saints?

Question:

Does a Catholic have to pray to saints?

Answer:

A Catholic doesn’t have to pray to the saints in the same way that we don’t have to ask anyone to pray for us. Sure, its technically possible, but why wouldn’t we? We know that we have saints as our intercessors in heaven (Rev. 5:8) it would be odd not to take advantage of that. It would seem to me to be prideful to not want to benefit from the prayers of those in heaven who behold the Beatific Vision.
