Do Priests and Married Couples Have an Extra Guardian Angel?

Question:

I've heard that priests are assigned another guardian angel at their ordinations and married couples are assigned another guardian angel for their marriage. Is this true?

Answer:

There is nothing in the Church’s tradition nor in the Scriptures that would indicate that.

The general tradition of the Church has been that every person has at least one guardian angel. Some have theorized that God might assign more than one guardian angel for specific individuals. However I am unaware of any tradition that would imply an additional guardian angel is provided upon ordination or marriage.
