Question:
Can a woman play the part of Christ in the live Stations of the Cross?
Answer:
Such things as “live stations of the cross” do not have liturgical rubrics. They are more of a private devotion and therefore they are the product of the creative vision of the group producing them.
While it is not a violation of any church rule or law to have a woman play the part of Jesus in a live stations of the cross it would seem to be a bit strange. After all, would they have a man play the part of the Blessed Mother?
