Adam Was No Prophet

Question:

Is Adam considered the first prophet? If not, who was?

Answer:

The first mention of someone being a prophet is Genesis 20:7, when God tells Abimelech that Abraham is a prophet.

Luke 11:51 seems to imply that Abel was a prophet, and Jude 14 implies that Enoch was a prophet. However, tradition has normally assigned the title of first prophet to Abraham.
