The callers choose the topics during Open Forum, peppering our guests with questions on every aspect of Catholic life and faith, the moral life, and even philosophical topics that touch on general religious belief.

Questions Covered:

  • It’s been said to me by Jesuits in my community that we should not preach, but rather dialogue with other religions. How do you respond to this?
  • What kind of physical form do we have when we go to heaven?
  • I am curious about the minor orders of the Church. What were they and what were their duties?
  • A Protestant friend told me that the Vatican removed 14 books from the Bible in 1684, what is the story about it?
  • At the time of the presentation Jesus was in Jerusalem, and then we are told he went to Nazareth. At what time was he in Egypt and for how long?
  • How do we know that Catholicism is the correct religion to belong to?
  • Is the story of Noah and the ark not completely factual?
  • How are we receiving Jesus at church even though he rose to Heaven?
  • In the Beatitudes, “blessed are those who mourn…” seems to be different than the other beatitudes and I am wondering how it is meant to be interpreted?
  • How do we know what churches are in union with the Holy See?
