The Body of Christ: Eucharistic and Ecclesial Communion in the Life of the Church

In 1 Corinthians 10:17, St. Paul says that “because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.” Instead of the Church having the Eucharist to celebrate our oneness, Paul suggests that the Eucharist creates our oneness. In this talk, Simone will explore this relationship between the Eucharist and the Mystical Body of Christ, with an emphasis on the reality that partaking in the Eucharist is what makes ecclesial union possible.
