High School Theology – Live Instruction

What if your high school student could study theology with Trent Horn? He can during the 2021-2022 school year! Trent will be offering online courses through Homeschool Connections that cover the Catechism and the New Testament but classes are limited to 25 students each. Register today and secure your spot!

  • Introduction to the Catechism 101: Fundamentals of the Faith (Fall 2021) – This course will follow a “flipped-classroom” approach. Each week students will watch Mr. Horn’s 30-minute pre-recorded lecture before attending the live, interactive class on Monday. The live 30-minute class will be an engaging Q&A with the students. Fundamentals of Faith will cover Part One of the Catechism of the Catholic Church with an emphasis on God, Divine Revelation, the Trinity, and the Catholic Church.
  • Introduction to the New Testament 101: The Gospels (Fall 2021) – This course will follow a “flipped-classroom” approach. Each week students will watch Mr. Horn’s 30-minute pre-recorded lecture before attending the live, interactive class on Monday. The live 30-minute class will be an engaging Q&A with the students. Introduction to the New Testament will cover the Gospels and provide critical background information, discussion of major themes, and answers to common questions and objections.
  • Introduction to the Catechism 102: Sacraments and Salvation (Spring 2022)  – This course will follow a “flipped-classroom” approach. Each week students will watch Mr. Horn’s 30-minute pre-recorded lecture before attending the live, interactive class on Monday. The live 30-minute class will be an engaging Q&A with the students. Sacraments and Salvation covers part two of the Catechism with an emphasis on the seven sacraments as well as teachings on salvation from part three of the Catechism.
  • Introduction to the New Testament 102: The Pauline Letters (Spring 2022) – This course will follow a “flipped-classroom” approach. Each week students will watch Mr. Horn’s 30-minute pre-recorded lecture before attending the live, interactive class on Monday. The live 30-minute class will be an engaging Q&A with the students. This course will cover the New Testament letters traditionally attributed to St. Paul and provide critical background information, discussion of major themes, and answers to common questions and objections.

College and University Students – Live Instruction

Trent currently serves as chair of the apologetics department at Holy Apostles College and Seminary where he teaches one course each semester. Students can enroll in these courses for college credit or can audit them if they just want to learn the material.

  • APO 540 – The New Atheism (Summer 2021)
    This course focuses on the arguments from the “New Atheism” and how Christians can answer these arguments.
  • APO 535 – Moral Apologetics (Fall 2021)
    This course focuses on engaging apologetics from a moral dimension.
