Will God Destroy Hell and the Souls of the Damned?

Question:

Is it heretical to believe that after the end of time, God will destroy hell and the souls of the damned?

Answer:

The Church teaches very clearly that hell and its punishments are everlasting (CCC 1033-37). So does Pope Francis, contrary to some reports.
