No doubt receiving absolution of your grave sins will aid you in your dealing with this vice, as you will receive graces to help you do so. However, you must cooperate in receiving with these graces, for grace is received according to the mode or receptivity of the receiver.
You also need to avoid the near occasion of sin re: prostitution and root out other things in your life that incline you toward this vice, including those which fuel related impure thoughts (see Matt. 5:28). This will most likely take time and be challenging (Matt. 7:23-24), but persevere in God’s purification of yourself (see CCC 1471-73).
