Married People and Opposite-Sex Friends

Question:

Is it inappropriate for a married man and a single woman who are neighbors to walk their dogs together occasionally?

Answer:

Married couples are not required to shun any and all social contact with persons of the opposite sex. So long as reasonable precautions against unchastity are taken, such as the wife of the married man knowing that her husband and the neighbor lady are walking their dogs together in public, there seems to be no cause for scandal.
