Is the Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible Orthodox?

The Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible certainly offers a lot of insightful scriptural commentary. However, because it is not a distinctively Catholic commentary, its commentary will not always be congruent with orthodox Catholic doctrine.

For an orthodox Catholic commentary, we heartily recommend the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible New Testament, which also comes in hardcover and paperback editions. Ignatius Press plans on publishing its complete study Bible (Old and New Testaments) sometime in 2019 or 2020.
