Hard to say for sure.

Provided that you can verify that a person was experiencing some trial at the very time you became mentally aware they were going through some hardship, but prior to that realization had no knowledge of their trial, it could be a form of personal connection or spiritual empathy by virtue of God’s grace (see 1 Cor. 12:12-26).

In any event, if we think someone is in need of prayer, we can pause and say a brief prayer for them and then follow up to see how they’re doing.
