Question:
The website Jesus.org states of the ninety times Jesus was addressed in the Gospels, sixty times he was called "teacher." Is that right?
Answer:
Jesus is undoubtedly called “teacher” a good number of times in the Gospels. As to how many times might be the subject of some debate, since the Hebrew word “rabbi” also means “teacher.” Suffice it to say, though, that Jesus reveals himself to be, first and foremost, our divine Savior (John 1:1-3, 14; 3:16-17; 8:58; 14:6).
