Question:
What do you do when someone only focuses on the bad stuff in the Church?
Answer:
It depends on how well you know this person. If this person is merely an acquaintance, you can offer information that addresses that person’s concerns, and then move on if it is not received well. With someone you do know well, you can also offer information, but if it is not received well then you can politely ask that person for a respite from negative discussions. I recommend Joanna Bogle’s article Seek Something to Be Glad About.
