First, you can only be baptized once, and you were validly baptized as a Catholic, in which original sin was taken away and also any personal sins you may have committed blotted out, assuming you were baptized after the age of reason (see CCC 1262ff.).
As a Catholic, it would be gravely wrong to attempt a re-baptism, because you would be conveying that you don’t think what the Holy Spirit did in your baptism as a Catholic was valid or sufficient—neither of which is true. If you have followed through on attempting re-baptism, please repent and receive God’s merciful absolution in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Finally, if you haven’t attempted rebaptism, explain to your husband that your first obligation is to Christ and his Church, and so you cannot attempt re-baptism, and that you do so a loving witness to him.
