Question:
Is there a Catholic Bible version that is printed without verse numbers and not in columns, but reads like a normal book?
Answer:
We’re not aware of any such Catholic Bible, outside of ancient manuscripts. At Catholic Answers, we recommend and sell Bibles with chapters and verses, precisely because they’re easier to navigate and also reference in discussions with other Christians. Chapters were added in the 13th century and verses in the 16th. For more on this issue, see our related response.
