Hi, I’m Emily Torres!
I joined the Catholic Answers team in July 2025 as a Digital Marketer. My primary role in the marketing department involves managing our monthly donor program, Society 315, and expanding its reach through our online platforms.
Before joining Catholic Answers, I taught philosophy at a Catholic high school. I was born and raised in Riverside, California, and later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. I earned two bachelor’s degrees from Loyola University Chicago, where I studied philosophy and cognitive & behavioral neuroscience.
I’m a convert to the Catholic faith, having entered the Church at the age of 18 after being exposed to online apologetics. I’m currently the only practicing Catholic in my family — although I recently got engaged and, God willing, am excited to build a future Catholic family with my fiancé.
My favorite saints are St. Thérèse of Lisieux and her mother, St. Zélie Martin. I also have a special love for St. Augustine and St. Thomas More!
In my spare time, you’ll likely find me rucking (walking with a weighted backpack), baking muffins or chocolate chip cookies, or sipping coffee at a French bakery. You may also find me online, building my own Catholic apologetics presence to help others grow in the faith.
