Paul S. Loverde is bishop of the Catholic diocese of Arlington, Virginia.
Bishop Loverde was ordained a priest for the diocese of Norwich in 1965. He earned a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1966, and a Licentiate (JCL) in Canon Law in 1982.
On April 12, 1988 he was ordained an Auxiliary Bishop for the archdiocese of Hartford. In 1994 he was installed as the eleventh bishop of Ogdensburg, New York.
He was installed as the third bishop of Arlington in 1999.
