Bernadette Gibson, a member of the Catholic Answers team since April 2019, is the customer service supervisor for the apostolate. In her role, she manages inbound communications and customer inquiries, processes donations and parish bulk product orders, resolves customer concerns, conducts tours for on-site visitors, and prepares and sends donor thank-you letters.
Before coming to Catholic Answers, she worked in finance for several government contractors.
A Philippines native who grew up in West Virginia and became a naturalized U.S. citizen while there, Bernadette is a graduate of the University of Charleston (W.Va.). She is a cradle Catholic with a particular devotion to Saint Joseph, and she serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at San Diego’s St. Joseph Cathedral. She is also a member of the cathedral’s homebound communion service and is secretary of its Filipino-American Community group.
Bernadette and her husband, Randall, lived in a number of different Eastern states before driving cross-country to live in California. They were happily married for many years prior to his passing in 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking the beach, and playing the piano.
