Update: School of Apologetics

For many years through our various media outlets, Catholic Answers has been the leader in providing quality apologetics material. What we have not had is an online guided course of instruction designed to take anyone interested in defending the Faith to the next level. Until now.

Over the past year, we have been working on the Catholic Answers School of Apologetics (CASA), and we are pleased to announce that the first course is available now. Beginning Apologetics is taught by our senior apologist, Jimmy Akin.

Beginning Apologetics is roughly seven hours of instruction and includes a downloadable study guide. The introductory price for the course is $89.95.

The second course (Moral Apologetics), taught by Trent Horn, has been recorded and is in the video-editing cycle. We hope to release it sometime after Christmas.

Altogether, the CASA program will have five “core” courses. Our goal is to have them finished and available to the public before the end of 2020. Each course is seven to twelve hours of video split into manageable chunks so users can complete them at their own pace.

Once we have completed production on the CASA core, we will start working on more specialized “elective” courses. These will go deeper into topics such as the early Church Fathers, purgatory, Mary, the Crusades, etc.

Although we will eventually offer formal certificates of completion, at this point we are treating the courses as individual products. Our plan is to move to a subscription model while finding ways to subsidize the CASA courses for priests and Catholic educators.

The Catholic Answers School of Apologetics is a project we have been wanting to bring to fruition for many years, so this is an exciting time for the staff of Catholic Answers. Please keep the success of this project in your prayers, and consider making a donation to help keep it going. Thanks for your support!
