Homosexual activity is condemned in the Old Testament, particularly in the Torah. Homosexuality, the practice of sexual activity between persons of the same sex, is described as an abomination (an affront against God) in part because it is a violation of God’s first commandment to man and woman, “Be fruitful and multiply” (Gen. 1:28).
