How much did Mary know about God’s whole divine plan? I can see why Immaculate Conception is important (so that the Humanity of Jesus is perfect and free from all stain). I can see why Bodily Assumption is important (so that what is perfect is preserved by God, and we are shown a reward for sinlessness). But why is it important that Our Lady remained a virgin even despite the childbirth? Why is Her perfection so connected to Her virginity?
