The callers choose the topics during Open Forum, peppering our guests with questions on every aspect of Catholic life and faith, the moral life, and even philosophical topics that touch on general religious belief.

Questions Covered:

  • 03:59 - I was baptized and my husband was never baptized. We were married in a church that wasn’t Catholic. We both converted to the faith at the same time and at that time my husband was baptized. We recently divorced and my husband has remarried.  He claims that since he wasn’t baptized when we were married our marriage was invalid and he doesn’t need an annulment. Is this true?
  • 13:47 - In Isaiah and Revelations there is the phrase “Holy, Holy, Holy.” In both passages the angels are covering their eyes with their wings. Is there significance to this?
  • 20:04 - Did Adam and Eve fall into sin if they didn’t have concupiscence?
  • 29:51 - What kind of effect does media or TV shows have on us? I recently went to a talk by an exorcist and ever since then I’ve been leery of the TV shows that I watch.
  • 42:40 - Did Jesus quote from the deuterocanonical books?
  • 51:21 - My Protestant friends say that infants were not considered part of the household so you can’t use that verse “the entire household was baptized” to support infant baptism. What do I tell them?
