The callers choose the topics during Open Forum, peppering our guests with questions on every aspect of Catholic life and faith, the moral life, and even philosophical topics that touch on general religious belief.
Questions Covered:
- 13:28 - I was told that when the women told the disciples that the stone had been rolled away, they stated that the Jesus they saw had to have been a ghost. I don’t see this in scripture. Is this correct?
- 18:13 - In discussing the Immaculate Conception, a Protestant gave me Romans 3:23 to defend the idea that all have sinned. I gave him the Catholic interpretation and he said that I was using poor hermeneutics. What is the Church’s view on hermeneutics and how should I respond to this non-Catholic?
- 29:17 - I am finding Catholic priests and educators presenting Buddhism as a good choice. This is troubling to me. Why would they be saying this?
- 39:10 - My younger brother lives at home with my father, who I believe to be abusive. Should I be doing something to remove my brother from the influence of my father?
- 47:40 - I have been researching the history of the Church and would like some clarification of what happened at the Council of Nicaea. Some people talk about certain aspects being anti-Catholic.
