Open Forum

The callers choose the topics during Open Forum, peppering our guests with questions on every aspect of Catholic life and faith, the moral life, and even philosophical topics that touch on general religious belief.

• How many dimensions are there as far as spirituality?
• The western church believes Mary Magdalene was the woman that had the 7 demons driven out. Pope Gregory I said her demons were all manners of sin.  Did he and others see her as a sinful woman or a prostitute?  
• My nephew is Catholic, but has fallen away and has decided to be married at a location outside of the Church. I have heard from a priest that as a Catholic I should not attend. Someone else said if they denounce their faith, then it’s okay to attend. This does not make sense to me. Why would you not want to bring them back?
• Why did Jesus make Satan if he knew he was going to betray him?
• Why did the pope not comply with what the Blessed Mother said about the 3rd secret, as far as the time frame?
• I recently converted. The Mass seems very similar to Protestant services I went to as a kid. My wife and I recently went to a Latin Mass and it seemed more fulfilling. Why was the Mass changed?
